The annual SNETP Forum taking place from 17 to 19 April at the Antonianum Congress Centre in Rome, Italy, organized together with the Italian Nuclear Association, aims at discussing and analysing business strategies for SMRs.

This open and field-specific conference will have a focus on the latest progress of international knowledge on severe accidents in nuclear plants. As in the last edition, the scope of the conference includes also innovative nuclear technologies, such as Accident Tolerant Fuels (ATFs), Small Modular Reactors (SMRs), fusion, etc.

ERMSAR 2024 will pay particular attention to technical discussions and will ensure enough time and the best atmosphere to turn the event in a true opportunity for students, researchers and engineers’ exchanges. The Conference will display the major progress recently accomplished in the field and will look ahead to highlight what should be in the near-term research agenda.

NUGENIA TA2 GENERAL MEETING

The third Research Coordination Meeting (RCM) of the IAEA Coordinated Research Project (CRP) on the In-Vessel Melt Retention (IVMR)

The primary goal of this CRP is to enhance global consensus on the scientific and technological basis crucial for safety demonstrations of IVMR, particularly in high-power reactors, and to synchronize international perspectives and understanding.

During the third RCM, the focus will be on assessing participants’ contributions, reviewing CRP advancements toward established goals, and presenting and discussing results, conclusions, recommendations, and other pertinent information essential for the project evaluation.

21st International Topical Meeting on Nuclear Reactor Thermal Hydraulics (NURETH-21). It is the premier gathering for experts in nuclear reactor thermal hydraulics and related topical areas. This meeting is held every two years. The Thermal-Hydraulic Division of the Korean Nuclear Society is pleased to host NURETH-21 in Busan, Republic of Korea.

The 10th edition of the European Review Meeting on Severe Accident Research ERMSAR 2022 Conference was organised by the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology from 16 to 19 May 2022, under the SNETP NUGENIA TA2 Severe Accidents framework.

ERMSAR 2022e focused on the latest progress of knowledge on severe accidents in LWRs and has been an opportunity for researchers to discuss future R&D needs in this field. The conference proceedings are now freely available for the download from the KITopen Repository https://publikationen.bibliothek.kit.edu/1000151444.

This meeting is held every two years. The Washington DC ANS Section is pleased to host NURETH-20 in Washington, DC, USA. Washington, DC is more than the capital of the USA – it is the center of both support and regulation of the nuclear industry.

SEAKNOT Annual Meeting

The SEAKNOT-EU Project consortium met in Cadarache (France) for its first Annual Meeting. A three-days work session dedicated to discuss the results obtained during the first project year, to assess the outcomes and to pave the way for 2024 activities.
